A conversation about records, touring and thirty-some years of collecting

Photograph — live performance / archive
Music has pretty much always been the thread running through my life.
I’ve spent most of my life playing drums, listening to records and paying attention to the music around me.
Professionally, I’ve toured and recorded for decades, including my work with Seether and, before that, The Nixons. That career has taken me to a lot of stages, a lot of cities and a lot of record stores.
Collecting vinyl started long before any of that. I’ve been buying records for more than 30 years, and the habit never really slowed down. Time off the road usually meant digging through bins somewhere.
JH Vinyl came out of that. Buying, selling and trading records let me keep doing what I’d be doing anyway, and it puts good records in the hands of people who’ll appreciate them.
I’m still a fan first. That’s the part that hasn’t changed.
